This is what YHWH says,

"Stand ye in the ways,

and see,

and ask for the old paths ,

where is the good way,

and walk therein, and you shall find rest for your souls."

Jeremiah 6:16

Shalom Chaverim!

Mountlake college is focused on raising up righteous leadership who are called and qualified according to Y'shua Mashiyach and Torah.  Education outside of the Torah community provides numerous hurdles and obstacles that is known to produce a faithless and perverse generation.  True education is also about dedication to Judgment, Faith and Mercy, these Y'shua referred to as the "weightier" matters of the Torah.  We believe in discipleship that focuses on ministry and serving the body rather than producing theology centered students.  Each one must take stalk and assess the gifts that the Ruach has put within, we believe in walking in an anointing of the Ruach HaKodesh.  Our goal is to help one another learn to be available to Mashiyach to increase our anointing in Him.  We are each unique creations of YHWH.  The Ruach HaKodesh is the Teacher of each one who walks in Y'shua as it is stated in 1 John 2:26 "These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which you have received of Him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, you shall abide in him."  It is very common among false religion to elevate their teachers to "Reverend" or "Guru" status which is dead carnal religion.  Many men hold up their educational "credentials" to be recognized of other men.  Some have even been known to falsify credentials in order to appear much more academically qualified than they are, there are men who claim to be Netzarim leaders who have serious misconduct charges levied against them because they've made it appear that they are much more highly educated than they actually are, all this is vanity.

In his letter to the Hebrews Paul quotes Jeremiah who stated, "For this is the Covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says YHWH; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be their Elohim, and they shall be my people:  And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know YHWH: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest."  This prophecy has obviously not be fulfilled as yet, it speaks the work of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) writing the Covenant upon the hearts of His People and alludes to the "teacher" being a thing of the past.  We believe this anointing is available for all who will seek YHWH today.  Yes we certainly need men who labour in the Word digging deep for precious pearls of truth, but not to make a gainful business out of it, and this is exactly what many are currently doing.  Some of these men live carnal lives, don't keep their words and have left in their wake many who even doubt the Faith because of their shameful examples.

Y'shua states, "And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing you shall answer, or what you shall say:  For the Ruach HaKodesh shall teach you in the same hour what you ought to say."  Y'shua says that the Ruach HaKodesh will be responsible to teach you, this does not however mean that we are not to be engaged in rigorous and methodical study of the Word of YHWH.  We need each other to bring forth the anointed teaching and discussion of the word of YHWH, but we do not leave this up to one person or group of people.  Each of us must take the responsibility to be educated, we are called to be Priests and Kings.  Torah requires that a King must write his own copy of the Torah, therefore it is incumbent on each of us to be very equipped to know Torah and the teachings of Y'shua.

"Y'shua answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.  He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.  These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.  But the Comforter, which is the Ruach Kodesh, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."  We have this confidence in Him, the Word of Y'shua is true, a great cloud of witnesses confirms the work of the Ruach HaKodesh.  Each Shabbat many leaders prepare materials for their Kehillath and know that our sole responsibility is to hear from YHWH.  We open His word and feast on a banquet of wisdom, knowledge and understanding of every good thing He has put before us, His Word is infinite.

Over the years those who give their lives in service to Mashiyach experience the greatest joy and fulfillment there is in life witnessing others take up roles as leaders and various responsibilities for others.  Some have said they could never teach, or never stand before a group but YHWH proves time and time again that when men pray earnestly together that everyone can learn to hear the Word of YHWH to bring His Ways before others.  The fact of the matter is that we are designed this way, but it takes willingness and determination.  Our mandate is to facilitate and serve those who are called to walk in Y'shua and Torah.

Y'shua said, "Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."  Teachers have a very great responsibility to YHWH for what they teach, this is why it is foolhardy for someone to seek an education over an anointing.  Ya'akov the brother of Y'shua stated, "My brethren, be not many masters (or teachers), knowing that we shall receive the greater judgment.  For in many things we offend all.  If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body."  YHWH raises up men to teach His Ways and to sanctify the Name of YHWH, a teacher must have a good name, reputation and be blameless.  A teacher must have the Fear of YHWH before attempting to teach  the Kingdom of Elohim, this Fear of YHWH comes by receiving an anointing from YHWH and experience and testimony by walking in Y'shua.  On the basis of scriptural requirements the fact of the matter is the majority of "teachers" nowadays have long ago been disqualified by their actions and torahless values.  Teaching and learning is a community effort, not a one-man-show.  False leaders can say plenty of nice things while walking without an anointing or calling, many are far too proud to step down, but YHWH judges accordingly.

Although teachers fill an important need it is not the biggest priority according to Shaliach Paul,  "And Elohim has set some in the Kehillath, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, divers kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers ? are all workers of miracles? have all gifts of healings? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? But desire earnestly the greater gifts. And moreover a most excellent way show I unto you."
