"Behold, the days come, says YHWH Elohim, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the Word of YHWH." Amos 8:11 |

Courses offered through Mountlake College are to advance learning and living for the Kingdom of Elohim. The objective is to equip the Body of Mashiyach to present Messiah and Torah consciousness to others. True education comes about by experiencing YHWH and His Mashiyach through living according to His Word, and having Torah written upon the heart. We are obedient to the Word of YHWH and focus on the character of Y'shua to be discipled in the Way of Mashiyach. The Word of YHWH and all Creation is orderly and perfect, and so His children are also to be tuned to Him and His Word. The curriculum we offer is "theology" but about internal realization of who we are in YHWH and His Mashiyach.
Lech Lecha was the call given to Avraham to "go to yourself", and realize the full potential that YHWH has for Avraham and for each one of us. Avraham was called to be tawmim (complete) and walk with YHWH as His intimate friend, this calling of intimacy is made to each soul in Mashiyach, this is the curriculum of our spiritual lives, for this reason Mountlake College exists.
Teaching theology or commentary on Scripture in itself has very limited potential to help us grow into the fullness of Elohim. Our personal growth is dependant upon obedience to the Word of YHWH and to seek Him as our Father, which means to seek His Counsel and hear from Him, this is Torah. Torah goes far beyond a set of rules and regulations into a direct hearing and doing according to discernment of the Ruach haKodesh. One unique example of Torah being written upon our hearts is to personally hear and obey a directive for our own souls, for instance although there is nothing wrong per se with having a drink of schnapps but if your heart is showing you to resist something then your stewardship is between yourself and YHWH. YHWH's instruction in righteousness is for each one of us to walk in obedience to His Word, what is best for one person may be inappropriate for another.
Making promises and keeping our word to YHWH and each other is vitally important to our testimony in Y'shua. There is no theologian who by his own power is able to convince a person to not exaggerate or lie because the basis of true Faith is a spiritual connection with YHWH, rather than a cerebral concept of how the Ruach operates in our lives. The Household of Faith is called to walk in truth and minister the Kingdom of Elohim through ourselves unto others and this is our goal.
